Wow, I am finally posting my final thoughts on Web 2.0. I have enjoyed this program very much! I have learned so much and feel I have barely touched the tip of the iceberg. I could spend 8 hours a day and still not learn enough!
I would definitely participate in another program like this.
My only desire is that we have more time to really learn one thing at a time for those of us whose brain is not as fast or young as it once was!

Thing 29 Learning 2.0 Experience
I have enjoyed the Learning 2.0 program! I have been introduced to so many new ideas and concepts. Now I want to go back and spend a lot more time with each exercise to really get to know them better.
I loved LibraryThing, Flickr, and del.icio.us. I want to learn a lot more about them!!
My Lifelong Learning goal is just beginning to take off. Come fly with me! The best is yet to be!!

Thing 28 Rollyo
Rollyo is cool. I created a search engine for Reference and Travel and found some cool stuff.
My link is: http://www.rollyo.com/dashboard.html
This could be a very useful tool to set up for yourslef to have your favorite sites available when answering customer questions.

Thing 26 The fun Continues
Big Huge labs has some great things to do with photos. I made an inspirational poster using one of my photos and it turned out well and it was easy!
Thing 25 Podcasting in Libraries
I visited several of the resources listed for thnig 25. I enjoyed visitng the Arizona State University where I listened to a podcast about a "trunk murderess" in Arizona. I think this technology is a great way to connect with our customers. Especially those who can't come into our buildings. This allows them to still be a part of who we are.
Thing 24 Podcasts
Podcasts are a wonderful tool for anyone who wants to be kept informed about what is going on in their world. I really enjoyed the Yahoo podcasts that allowed me to get the audiocasts. There is so much to try out and so little time!

Thing 23 YouTube
When looking at YouTube I chose a video on the motorcycle DMV test. The video clip went through the entire test and showed close ups that were very helpful. Thye used some text at the bottom and added music at the end. We could use these techniques with library YouTubes. Especially when using YouTube to teach.
Thing 22 Flickr Fun
Wow! I enjoyed trying out some of the Flickr mashups and 3rd party tools. I created an inspirational poster, a jigsaw puzzle and a magazine cover. Flickr is fun and easy and some of these other tools make it even more fun. And I actually get paid to learn how to do this! How cool is that??

Thing 21Tag you're it!
Tags, Tags, Tags yes they are very important in Flickrland! Without tags there would just be chaotic collections of photos, imagine a Library without a catalog! What a nightmare.
The photo collections are only as good as the tags!

Thing 19 Web 2.0 Awards
The site I chose was under questions and answers. It was Minti and was geared to parents. How cool... a site to help parents deal with screaming kids in a store, learn what to expect from a 4 year old and a place to commiserate! I like the idea and even though I am not a parent enjoyed looking at it. Hmm...do they have one for parents of CATS!!!?

Thing 18 Technorati
I continue to be amazed at what is available on the web. Who knew just a few years ago that we would have such incredible access. Even though technology is changing so rapidly the changes are great. I love Technorati and know I will use it at home and at work!
